‘Poppies Galore’ November!

Jo MacArthur • October 27, 2026

November stands as a quiet bridge between autumn’s golden farewell and winter’s snow,

Reflecting a month of change and acceptance as nature softens it colours and begins to slow.

It captures the brink of the colours of autumn to the indoor cosiness of the upcoming holiday spell,

With the chance to relax, unwind and be calm and get ready to temporarily jump off the carousel!

But there is still plenty going on with The Great Chipping Sodbury Fireworks and Funfair show

Featuring a low-noise display, roaming characters, and street foods such as the odd hot potato!

We also have a Craft and Upcycling Market and A Christmas Carol performed at the Town Hall

By the Sodbury Vale Musical Theatre Club to get us in the spirit with joyous songs and a curtain call!

The Remembrance Parade takes place after the Sodbury Slog gets underway, with the runners ready

And all prepared with tightly tied shoelaces to help them cope with the mud and remain steady!

Here at The Moda House the front of our lovely building is covered in hand knitted poppies galore

Creating a vibrant scarlet cascade of petals representing a life and a story of those killed in the war.
